Modo Board of Directors Election

Wait, what? There’s more voting to do?

Modo is the local car-sharing co-op. I’ve been lucky to live most of my adult life without needing a car (even back in Prince George), but sometimes a car is really handy: Like when you have a cardboard box full of junk that needs to be taken to a recycling depot, or when your new computer is ready for pickup. Being able to book a Modo has been a lifesaver.

I gotta say, voting for the board of directors was a slog. The voting page had information about each candidate, including a short video where they answered questions about why they were running and what their vision was. I appreciate having all that information available, but it was a lot to go through.

A few candidates used the phrase “climate emergency”. That gets bonus points from me.

Anyhoo! I’ve done my duty as a member. All the candidates seemed like they believe in Modo and want to do their best. I’m reasonably sure that we’re not facing a debacle like the demise of Mountain Equipment Co-op.

Modo, you’re a great service and organization. It’s an honour to be a member. Congratulations in advance to the new board. Huzzah!
